New fishing lure for 2009

It would make sense for me to show what Stubby Steve's actually looks like.... Anna took this photo with her new camera and she did an amazing job capturing the pores and tiny bits of fish food! Just imagine.... as soon as the Stubby Steve's hits the water, fish food particles emerge from the lure and the fish go crazy! We've put 3 or 4 Stubbies in a cup of water and come back hours later to find the lures still floating and an amazing amount of fish food particles on the bottom! Other competitors turn to a mushy mess! Our lure still smells like fish food and holds its shape after being in water all day!

Packages

Yesterday, our packages finally came in... we've waited so long to get them in hand! It didn't take us long to start the "packaging process"! Today we mailed out our first batch to family and friends.

This is our package... we've been really excited about it! The biggest decision for us was rather to have yellow or blue packaging. The samples for each were beautiful. I leaned towards the yellow but am SO glad everyone decided on the blue. It's crazy how many fishing lures are packed in yellow! So, maybe this will help us stand out from the rest!

I can't imagine anyone having a more beautiful place to do their product research! Believe it or not, this was once a tiny creek running in the middle of the woods... Some hard work, lots of friends helping, and a great amount of skill and artistry came together to make "Lake Elizadan". You won't find this on the map.... it's tucked away and treasured! Oh, and also is stocked with hybrid stripers, brooks, browns and rainbows. The perfect place to "go to work"!!!

The begining...

Our website is in it's early stage... waiting on the Big Man to tell me what he wants everyone to know about his fishing lure. I guess it's difficult finding the words to tell how you invented something so simple in concept but yet so amazing at catching fish and also how safe for the environment it is.... We know that fishermen and women by nature, care about the world we live in and want to do their part in keeping our environment safe and clean.

Plastic lures are a favorite amongst many of us who love to fish but our waterways are being polluted by these lures. It's our responsibility to use safer alternatives. Of course, no one will buy and use a product just because it's "eco-friendly" if it isn't effective. We've created a biodegradable artificial fish food lure!
